attended Dixie College and later studied Political Science, Business and Spanish at Brigham Young University. Served an LDS mission in Bolivia from 1977 to 1979. Currently is the Affiliation Director, and a Co-Owner of Leavitt Group Enterprises. The Leavitt Group is the 2nd largest privately held insurance brokerage in the United States, and 12th largest overall, with 125 locations in 14 States and annual sales over $2 billion. He currently serves on its Executive committee and Board of Directors. As Affiliation Director Mark leads the efforts to find, negotiate and complete acquisitions of new insurance agencies for the Leavitt Group. Since taking over this responsibility in 1999, the affiliation team has completed 50 + transactions totaling over $700,000,000 in annual sales. From 1987 to 1999, Mark operated the Leavitt family’s agribusiness and real estate interests; including developments in Utah and Nevada. Agribusiness projects included Road Creek Ranch, a vertically integrated aquaculture operation, and Road Creek Rod and Gun Club, a private hunting and fishing club. In addition the family operations included a 1,000 head cattle operation and an 800 cow dairy operation. During that same timeframe he served for 9 years on the Utah State Board Of Governors of the Utah Division of Travel Development. Mark is a 5,000 hour instrument rated pilot. His love of aviation and growing business needs led to the development and operation of Leavitt Group Wings LLC. LG Wings currently owns and operates a King Air turboprop, and an Eclipse 500 turbojet aircraft that have been instrumental in growth and operations of the Leavitt Group. Mark’s outside interest revolve around family, church and outdoor recreational activities. Mark is a low handicap golfer & sporting clays shooter.
