Helping people is how I want to be remembered. To keep it simple, helping people, genuinely caring about what happens to others, is what makes life worth living. And I'm definitely on a journey--still working on what "helping people" looks like. I'm sure it looks inelegant at times and I know it doesn't always go as planned. But I've been fortunate to be surrounded by a lot of very smart people who have helped me along the way. Old Kent Bank in Grand Rapids, Michigan officially started my banking career as a branch management trainee in 1985. I'm forever grateful for my late father-in-law suggesting I contact Old Kent, a terrific bank and arguably one of the best in its weight class. After 38 years, I'm still in banking and enjoying "my calling". More specifically, I have the extraordinary opportunity to work in wealth management at Lake City Bank with many wonderful clients and an outstanding team of professionals who deliver impeccable service and thoughtful advice with healthy amounts of compassion. We're in the business of helping people reach their goals and realize their dreams. And we hope to have the opportunity to be of service to many more in the coming years. I serve as Chief Wealth Advisory Officer working with our Wealth Advisory Group, Lake City Investments and Retirement Plan Services teams. I also serve on the Management Committee of Lake City Bank, reporting to our CEO. We are grateful to be recognized on the KBW Honor Roll of High Performing Banks.
