I joined Kofax in 1990. During my tenure, I've been responsible for running Professional Services, Product Management & Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Engineering and Research. I'm currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Kofax. As a visionary and thought leader, I've been responsible for initiating and directing our mobile capture, natural language processing and entity extraction, text analytics, and image processing technologies. I've also been responsible for driving our corporate and product strategies relative to our move from back office (batch oriented processing) to point-of-origination transaction processing. I hold over 40 patents in the areas of mobility, text analytics, image processing, and process automation.I have over 30 years of experience in the imaging industry, combined with extensive experience in the areas of software, hardware, and algorithm development. I've authored many published articles and speak regularly at various customer, partner, and industry events.I left Kofax in 2000 to purse a VP of Marketing role at Lantronix, a leading provider of embedded networking technology. I was recruited back to Kofax in 2002 to take over as the world wide VP of Marketing. Prior to Kofax, I spent 6 years at Xionics, a UK based competitor to Kofax. I was instrumental in establishing Xionics in the U.S. and Australian markets.
