JDRF leads the global type 1 diabetes research effort to keep people healthy and safe until we find a cure for the disease. Help create a world without T1D.
Currently working on strategy as well as portfolio and project management as lead of the Cell Therapy Project under JDRF's Cures Program, leveraging my Biomedical Engineering background and extensive experience in cell encapsulation technologies in the context of islet or stem-cell derived beta cell transplantation. Additionally, I support JDRF's Improving Lives Program on the development of new and improved Artificial Pancreas systems, also known as Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) systems. Aside from science and product development my interests include business development; venture capital and private equity investments in the biotechnology, medical device, and regenerative medicine space; and strategic management. I'm also very interested in international relations and international humanitarian organizations, specifically the areas of operations and project management, international and economic development, and emergency assistance\response.
