Yaakov (Jeff) Goldberg is CTO at National Retail Solutions enabling small to mid-size neighborhood bodegas and grocery stores to compete with both online and brick and mortar retailers. As CTO at Achieve3000, Yaakov significantly raised the level of the development team by introducing modern tools and best practices and by introducing monitoring and redundancy to the infrastructure. Prior to that, Yaakov was a partner at Digimia, LLC creating a new home control monitoring and management device and associated service, and later a health care mobile app. Prior to starting Digimia, LLC, Yaakov was with the IDT and Net2Phone family of companies from 1995 until mid 2007. Yaakov's was the CTO/Chief Scientist of Net2Phone Cable Telephony, evolving the proven, scalable operations technology that he originally created as CTO of Net2Phone, to support DOCSIS-based voice over cable outsourced solutions. Yaakov was instrumental in presenting Net2Phone technology to AT&T to secure the $1.7B sale of Net2Phone shares. He served as the CTO of ADIR Technologies - a joint venture between Net2Phone, Cisco and Softbank. Prior to joining IDT, Yaakov was consulting for 10 years to telecom, process-control and data processing companies using a real-time version of Unix (called UNOS) that he created as the VP Software at Charles River Data Systems. Yaakov holds degrees in Computer Science (SM, MIT 1977) and Electrical Engineering (BS, Cooper Union 1974), was a founding member of the UNIX Standards Committee and holds 4 patents: #6,389,038: Voice Over IP Bandwidth Utilization, #6,981,035: Managing a Flow of Network Status Messages, #7,673,037: Cable Telephony Monitoring System, #7,797,433: System, Method, and Computer Program Product for Resolving Addressing in a Network including a Network Address Translator.
