Konstantin Kondakov (aka Kon Kondakov) is currently overseeing all network, cloud and multiple datacenter operations of IDG's Digital Media Group (DMG) in the capacity of Director of DevOps.He brings to IDG over 25 years of technology experience and over 15 years of director level experience managing highly scalable and cross-platform environments in multiple Tier IV data centers. Konstantin has previously held a number of senior level management positions in information technology, managing production environments of high volume web search engines like LookSmart and InterSearch (aka 'Banks.com'​), the global event management company Certain, Inc and most recently managing DevOps at BabyCenter, an affiliate of Johnson and Johnson family of companies. His peers and management consider Konstantin Kondakov as an inspirational leader who has a proven track record of building highly talented, highly motivated and highly successful teams. Kon's main focus is to pragmatically solve complex technology problems, lead the Technology decisions in order to create the competitive advantage focusing on DevOps collaboration, 'lights-out'​ datacenter automated solutions, cloud migration, continuous deployment, scalability and operational excellence. While focusing on overall technology vision for the enterprise and business objectives, as well as the impact on KPI and 'the bottom line'​, Konstantin stays very hands-on involved in day-to-day NOC activities, system administrator tasks, data center migrations, database engineering, monitoring, capacity planning, cloud (AWS) operations and overall system architecture. Konstantin is a regular author and a member of the expert board of the 'System Administrator' magazine.Konstantin holds the Master's degree with honors from the State Academy of Management, Moscow, Russia. His specialty was: Information systems in management.
