Mr. Byrne is currently the Edmonton Office Lead and is responsible for the management of 120 plus office. He is also responsible for the Land Survey Services provided by IBI Group Geomatics (Canada) Inc. The group provides Construction surveys, Topographic Surveys, Digital Scanning of interior and exterior projects, Land Development services for Single Family, Multi Family and Multi Use sites. Mr. Byrne has also been recognized as an expert witness by the Alberta Court of Queen’s bench as it relates to planning processes. Mr. Byrne has been involved with the development of digital Cadastral bases across Canada and was involved in both the Parcel (Provincial) mapping of Alberta and the municipal mapping as well. He has been involved with virtually every new technology in Surveying over the last 45 years, including first generation Satellite systems (Doppler), Offshore navigation, Global Positioning systems (1980 to present), and continues to be involved with the changes in technology with Drones and Digital scanning systems. A key component of Mr. Byrnes expertise is related to helping develop methods with in the Land Titles system to bringing a project to market both delivery of title and separate financing of various components of a multi-use project. Some of these strategies have included; •Development of a strategy to create titles to allow for financing of different phases of the project, •Develop a strategy to create separate titles for different uses with in a development, •Once separate titles are completed it allows for separate financing and ownership of different entities, •Preparation of Strata space plans, •Liaison with Client and solicitor to address issues relate to title turn over and disclosures, •Deal with education of Municipalities related to different methods of title ownership, Mr. Byrne and IBI Group Geomatics (Canada) Inc. have successfully completed numerous projects that creating single and multi-family developments.
