Senior Investment Officer

The IDB is the main source of multilateral financing in Latin America. It provides solutions to development challenges and support in the key areas of the region.

I am an experienced international professional with 2 decades of experience in the banking and financial sectors, structuring senior loans, syndications, mezzanine financing, and investment banking transactions. I have worked for international financial groups such as Banistmo and Grupo Cuscatlán, and joined the IIC on 2004. Leading multidisciplinary professional teams across the Latin American Region, I have an extensive experience in various sectors (manufacturing, agribusiness, infrastructure, trade, financial services) with all types of clients (SME, corporates, regional holdings, PPP, financial intermediaries). I was honored with a Recognition Award in 2009 from the IDBG Private Sector Vice-Presidency, for my work supporting SME financing in Central America. Also, during 2019, I was selected to complete a rotation Program on Corporate and Project Finance Credit Risk. I am a Costa Rican citizen and holds an MBA from INCAE Business School and a Senior Management Program from IPADE Business School of Mexico. I have successfully completed my university degrees in Business Administration at the University of Costa Rica and more recently the Oxford Impact Investing Program at Said Business School.
