Since stepping into the HR world in 2007, I have had the opportunity to dabble in many aspects of Human Resources. In my role as a generalist, I have been able to learn employment law, benefits administration, HR consulting, employee relations management, and navigate the jungle that is employee medical leaves. I am at my best when I am helping others, and this is what my career allows me to do for my employees every day. In 2011, I became PHR certified, which solidified me officially as an HR nerd. Heffernan provides an environment that I thrive in. With a commitment to its laid back culture, I work in a setting where I actually enjoy coming to work. My co-workers are not only my clients, but they are friends and family to me.
