I am an assistant editor at Putnam and a recent graduate of the NYU M.A. program. Working at Penguin since 2010 has proven to be an invaluable experience to work with authors and learn from experienced editors. Putnam, leading the commercial book publishing market, is an incredible place to learn about bringing a book to market.|As for my graduate studies, my degree is totally unique in that I studied both publishing business and creative writing - something which not only sharpened my editorial eye but also trained me to focus on the bigger picture of the overall industry. I recently completed my graduate thesis exploring the mechanics of editing.|At Putnam, I am always doing something new, from working with new editors to training new assistants to trying out Penguin's mentoring program. Never a dull moment, as they say.
