The George Washington University Medical Center is an internationally recognized interdisciplinary academic health center which has consistently provided high quality medical care in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Information Technology professional with a breadth of practical subject matter knowledge. I came to IT in mid-career as I was using it more and more in various positions. I'm currently an application administrator for the AiM application by Assetworks at The George Washington University, and Director of Technology and Information Management in the Division of Operations. Through this position I seek to maximize the University's investment in AiM by using it as the core business application for the Facilities Services and Planning, Design and Construction groups. Highlights include a mature implementation of the Work Management modules, electronic workflow processing of contracts, invoices and capital budgetary approvals. Additionally, we have a large mobile implementation that has eliminated paper from the Work Management process. In 2012, over 35K archival building drawings were published in the AiM document repository, and we seek to add additional records including construction project documents and operations and maintenance manuals. Major new initiatives include digitizing a $1.8 mil/year purchasing and inventory management program, creating digital document deliverables program for capital construction and BIM/FIM standards.
