The George Washington University Medical Center is an internationally recognized interdisciplinary academic health center which has consistently provided high quality medical care in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. An experienced and transformational IT executive with more than 20 years of expertise in providing high-quality and innovative solutions and leading the continuous improvement of IT services aligned with enterprise strategies. Worked both nationally and internationally on driving academic, research and administrative innovations and promoting entrepreneurship in a digital culture. Background in IT strategy, program and project management, enterprise IT architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure and applications, service development and management, conflict resolution and business process improvement. Currently leads a dedicated team responsible for the cross-functional leadership of network services (data/voice), identity management, security operations, IT risk, research technology services and the Capital Area Advanced Research and Education Network (CAAREN). In this role, he oversees strategy, operations, change management, training, governance, and project planning for those key areas. CAAREN and GW's research infrastructure services provide high performance computing, support for advance scientific workflows and regulated data environments, SmartCities and regional sensor infrastructures, and cyber range and science gateway capabilities for both local and regional research partners.
