Hugo Sugden is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Wynden Stark Group. GQR, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wynden Stark, is an award-winning international search advisory and talent acquisition firm specialising in banking & finance, energy & engineering, life sciences and technology. At GQR, Hugo is responsible for augmenting and optimizing the group’s performance through infrastructural optimization, leadership coaching and the implementation of group-wide best-practices, ensuring best in class delivery to GQR’s rapidly growing client base. Launched in London in the summer of 2009, GQR now operates internationally from offices in London, Sydney, New York and Los Angeles, with further office launches in progress. Hugo studied at the University of West England (UWE), majoring in Geography & International Tourism, following his passion for the travel industry and global economics. While at UWE, Hugo completed several internships within the real estate, marketing and sales industries. Hugo began his career in sales in 2003 at the World Wildlife Foundation in Queensland where he set a state record by leading a team of six marketing executives who generated over $380,000 of revenue in Q2 2003. Hugo is fervent about the staffing industry, involved in both an NED and ED capacity across a few organisations across the industry. He also carries a strong passion for non-profit organisations practicing in animal welfare, environmental, wildlife conservation and medical research.
