As a busy physician and an owner of Ear, Nose & Throat Associates at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, I saw a troubling trend in the practice—patients were experiencing very long wait times to get in for an appointment, yet we had unexpected cancellations every day. There wasn’t an efficient way to alert patients who wanted to get in sooner and the unfilled spots were a lost revenue opportunity. Faced with the frustration of this scheduling imbalance, I co-founded Everseat in early 2013. Everseat is the revolutionary new cloud-based software and mobile app that solves this problem of mismatched supply & demand. The industry-agnostic platform allows busy service providers to push last minute openings to their clients in real time. It’s the efficient and cost-effective scheduling answer that increases revenue, drives efficiency and betters the customer experience. For over a decade I’ve been consulting for both private and public equity firms, working with early incubators as well as large corporations to analyze unmet needs and identify growth opportunities. I currently serve as Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at GBMC as well as Chair of the Institutional Graduate Medical Education Committee. My past research interests have included hearing loss, chronic sinusitis, and facial reconstruction. I have been a primary investigator for a post-approval FDA cochlear implant study, as well as another for ototopicals after tube placement in children. At ENT Associates, I now focus on patients with hearing loss and other otologic issues, along with chronic sinus disease and pediatrics. I’m a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Virginia School of Medicine, remaining at UVA to complete a residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
