Forest City Enterprises, Inc. (Forest City) is engaged in the ownership, development, management and acquisition of commercial and residential real estate properties in 27 states and the District of Columbia. The Company operates through three business units: Commercial Group, Residential Group and Land Development Group. Commercial Group owns, develops, acquires and operates regional malls, specialty/urban retail centers, office and life-science buildings, hotels and mixed-use projects. Residential Group owns, develops, acquires and operates residential rental properties, including upscale and middle-market apartments, adaptive re-use developments and supported-living communities. It also develops for-sale condominium projects and owns, develops and manages military family housing. Land Development Group acquires and sells both land and developed lots to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

As Quality Assurance Manager at Forest City, Karina leads the operations and implementation of Quality Assurance and IT Change Management policies and procedures. This includes setting and enforcing expectations pertaining to the testing and deployment of all IT projects and changes, coordinating regular disaster recovery tests, and contributing to and executing the strategic vision for quality assurance initiatives. This position has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that IT remains in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as it relates to the testing of projects, IT change management, and disaster recovery. Karina arrived at Forest City in the fall of 2009, as an external consultant, to train the Quality Assurance (QA) Team on a software testing tool suite. Her three-month engagement turned into a year and a half engagement, as she was extended multiple times to participate in several projects. In 2011, she accepted a full-time position with Forest City as QA Analyst. She was promoted to QA Lead in 2013, then promoted again in 2014 to QA Manager. In 2015, her role as QA Manager was expanded to absorb the IT Change Management Lead position. Prior to Forest City, Karina worked as a QA Analyst for Sogeti USA, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Capgemini Group. A few of her clients were National City Bank, ThermoFisher Scientific, and Forest City.
