Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping is an all inclusive, body transformation fitness program. Fitness kickboxing, strength training, nutrition counseling, coaching and a contest are combined to help students take the necessary steps to build healthy habits and reshape their bodies. \r\n\r\nFarrell's began as a single taekwondo school in Des Moines, IA. Prior to the opening of the Des Moines location, founder Lance Farrell taught martial arts in various community centers in rural West-Central Iowa. The single school became several, and in 1998, the first fitness kickboxing classes were introduced at Farrell's, and the 10-Week challenge including strength training, before and after photos and a contest was started in 2001. \r\n\r\nIn 2006, the first few independent Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping location was opened in the Des Moines area, and the company franchised in 2008. Today there are more than 50 locations in 9 states.

Like most woman out there, a big part of my day to day is pivoting between different things and professionally, I'm no different. My professional experience as an owner/operator of my gym and small business, Farrell's Extreme Bodyshaping, makes me the perfect person to also help consult and advice new business owners and struggling business owners identify opportunity within their own operation. I've brought years of experience to the table. After graduating from college with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a double major in marketing and finance, I started my career straight out of college with one of the largest privately-owned companies and earned my way through the ranks of management, gaining experience in sales, marketing, growth, development, and customer service along the way. Although I was playing with house money, 5 promotions over four years of experience had me primed and ready to change, adapt, and evolve into my next chapter. I left my career and moved on to the ever-growing world of technology. I worked for almost three years with a small technology firm that soon became a household name. I watched and helped lead a group to start from the ground up in a competitive field, taking care of the growing demands of clients as a technology consultant. Being adaptable in the world of tech is not only asked, but required. That experience and the added experience of managing my own division within a large corporation led me to where I am today. I took the leap of faith 4 years ago to forge my own path and become a small business owner in a male dominating space. Since that move, I’ve helped countless other people do the same thing I did… use their own practical experience that spans several different industries, to create something for themselves.
