Vice President Human Resources
Emory University is one of the world's leading research universities. Its mission is to create, preserve, teach and apply knowledge in the service of humanity.
I worked my way up from an editorial assistant, to an editor/project coordinator, and eventually to a project manager. Having over 20 years of experience in editing and proofreading as well as numerous years of writing experience have allowed me to contribute to the content of the projects I have managed. My keen eye for detail has helped clients such as Steelcase Inc., McDonald’s, UnitedHealth Group, and BearingPoint. I thrive under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, and keep projects at or under budget. Over the years, I have also planned, organized, and assisted with various events for the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter (then Allegheny County Chapter) of the Penn State Alumni Association as well as wrote, edited, and proofread communications pieces. In addition, I was on the PR and Shining Lights Committees for Pittsburgh Cares for several years. More recently, I was a substitute teacher, a vacation Bible school teacher, and a group leader and homework tutor. Currently, I am a content developer for Pitt's Institute for Learning, and I continue to take on freelance content assignments as my schedule permits.
