Emerson Electric company provides solutions for industrial and residential automation.

I’m the Director Digital Engineering and Operations for Emerson Electric Co., a multinational corporation that manufactures products and provides engineering services to a wide range of industrial, commercial and consumer markets. In this role I lead the engineering and operations team that manages the company’s B2B and B2C website infrastructure which is composed of CoreMedia Live Context content management and HCL Commerce technologies. Our most exciting work to date was architecting, designing and developing the company’s new Digital Customer Experience platform which uses IBM’s Websphere Commerce v7 and Infosphere MDM v11 software running on Dell blade servers with Redhat Linux 6.4 operating system and an Oracle 11g database. Before joining Emerson Electric, I worked for GE Capital and Bank of America where I was able to manage an eCommerce development team and Integration team respectively. In both roles I was fortunate to work with our business partners to develop world-class enterprise solutions that successfully processed millions of transactions every year. I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other IT professionals. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is working with the client or business unit leader to understand his or her business objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and we are able to design the right solution for the business partner. I have an MS from Washington University and a BS from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
