ABOUT ME I have lived in several regions of the U.S. Can't say I remember my birthplace, Washington D.C., but it intrigues me and I plan to spend more time absorbing the sites, history and culture. Bozeman, Montana, is a favorite! Kansas took a while to adjust to. My first career took me to the great state of Minnesota! I can truly say Minnesota is beautiful edge-to-edge, top-to-bottom. I lived in the Twin Cities for two years and loved it … but I fell in love and moved further north!! Landed in Moorhead, Minnesota, in 1986, freshly married and looking for a new career. Being an agricultural statistician was pretty cool but, in my opinion, a bit boring, so I went back to school to follow my passion - writing and designing. I found my purpose in life. ABOUT MY WORK I have been Eide Bailly's Communications Director since 1988, and I can honestly say I love what I do! My department of nine is responsible for the brand voice and image of the firm, which we drive through our website, social media, PR, advertising, marketing materials, newsletters and direct mail. We support firm wide marketing, recruiting and internal communication efforts. I love to write. From writing ad copy and news releases, to writing feature stories and marketing pieces … I love to write! I have a goal of writing a book someday. A good friend of mine, Julie Gaver, is my inspiration (Julie Gaver Training & Development). Writing will always be a part of my life. I love to design. I don’t do as much of it as I used to, as I am now more involved in the strategy than in the actual design work. Once in a while I take on a design project just to keep my skills intact. In 2004, we created a well-defined brand strategy for Eide Bailly. I design for print and electronic media – even wine bottles! People have commented many times that I have a fun job! It's an exciting time at Eide Bailly ... thriving and growing! It will be interesting to see where we are at five years from now :)
