The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the appointment of Chris Fields-Johnson to Technical Advisor within The Davey Institute.

For over 10 years, my career has been devoted to building public-private partnerships that promote balance between people, nature, and progress. Having served as a board member or staff for numerous non-profit or public enterprises in forestry, environmental issues, and parks and recreation, I have deep familiarity in project management, strategic planning, communication, public engagement, volunteer management, fund development, and cultivating public-private partnerships. I am motivated by action and results, excited by the application of new or emergent technologies, and enjoy working with others who relish a challenge and excel at getting things done. Over the course of my career, I have strengthened several core areas of expertise including: forest ecosystem restoration, urban forest planning and management, non-profit board governance, volunteer management, strategic and tactical planning, public engagement, and grant-writing as well as marketing expertise, sales, and business development for environmental fields and consulting-based businesses.
