Susan Cassidy is a government contracts and cybersecurtity partner at Covington & Burling LLP. Ms. Cassidy helps clients navigate complex federal procurement and national security issues, investigates potential violations of related requirements, and advises on compliance with DoD cybersecurity obligations, including assisting when there are breaches of client information systems.Ms. Cassidy conducts internal investigations for government contractors and represents her clients before the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Inspectors General (IG), and the Department of Justice with regard to those investigations. She regularly counsels clients on complex regulatory issues with regard to proposal preparation, audit inquiries, M&A due diligence, performance issues, contract and subcontract drafting and interpretation, cybersecurity and supply chain requirements, and the creation and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Ms. Cassidy has an active litigation practice including bid protests and prime-subcontractor disputes. She represents clients in litigation before federal courts, state courts, and administrative agencies.
