David Dickson is President & Chief Executive Officer for McDermott International, Inc., a position he has held since December 2013. David oversees the strategic direction of the Houston-based, $10 billion company. McDermott is a premier, fully-integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry. For more than a century, customers have trusted McDermott to design and build end-to-end infrastructure and technology solutions—from the wellhead to the storage tank—to transport and transform oil and gas into the products the world needs today. Prior to McDermott, David spent 11 years with Technip S.A. and its subsidiaries, including as President of Technip U.S.A., Inc., with oversight responsibilities for all of Technip’s North America Operations. He was also Vice President and Operations Manager for Technip U.S.A.’s SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) segment. He joined Technip in 2002 with the task of growing the Company’s market position in subsea installation, now the largest subsea company in the Gulf of Mexico. David has nearly 30 years of experience in the offshore oilfield engineering and construction industry holding various management positions in market development, project management, engineering and construction. David is an honors graduate of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Naval Architecture.
