Senior Technology Consultant

Colgate University is a private, liberal arts university with 2,900 undergraduate students pursuing 55 majors at a residential campus in Central New York State.

I am currently working at EY in their Technology Advisory Program. I am interested in Data Management, Programming, IT, Product Development, and Internships in Computer Science or Technology related fields. I have worked as Technology Consultant for Colgate Information Technology Desk. Here I was able to gain experience assisting students as well as professors with numerous technological issues. These ranged from detecting viruses on personal computers to setting up classrooms with projectors and webcams for interviews with national news organizations. I was able to gain not only knowledge of troubleshooting computer issues, but also improve my personal skills by dealing with many customers at one time. I have also gained plenty of real world programming experience through my Internship with Colgate's Information Technology. Through this opportunity I was able to experience what it is like to work in a professional environment. My responsibilities included creating queries to run on our SQL database as well as maintaining a "Data Cookbook"​ to help inexperienced programmers learn to use our Database. In the end I was able to help my supervisor improve our school's admissions and finance databases in just 2 short months. I am experienced in SQL, Informatica, Java, C/C++, Python, and MIPS while also having an extensive background in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. At school I have organized numerous events with Peer Health Educators and Phi Delta Theta as well as participated in daily practice and numerous tournaments for Colgate's Ultimate Frisbee Team including the Division III Regional Championship.
