I have been a passionate, customer centric IT professional for 20 years. Over that time I have worked in a number of roles encompassing network management, area consultant, senior consultant and technical management roles. Using my technical skills combined with a 'customer always comes first' ethos, I have proven to myself that you can have a technically abled individual who is empathetic towards the customer. Who through understanding their needs and looking to meet their requirements is capable of designing, implementing and delivering a technical solution to a problem. This is the same for internal business customers as well as external customers. In my current role I have been building my management skills, looking to better myself constantly and just as importantly, looking to guide and inspire my team. On a day to day basis I love to get stuck into technical problems as much as looking into strategic, customer product delivery projects or problems. Part of my role is incident management for some of our digital products. Through exposure and the experience I have gained I have proven to not only myself but to the business that I can effectively manage the lifecycle of an incident through clear and concise communications for both internal and external customers combined with strong influencing skills to ensure the root cause of the incident is being prioritized and resolved on time.
