As founder and principal at Lund Simon Consulting, I help companies develop responsible, consumer-focused supply chains, navigate geopolitical and reputational risks, and build world-class teams. I worked 23 years at Disney, in Park operations and in corporate functions, at international sites and in global roles. Most recently, I served as its first chief supply chain officer, integrating operational, compliance and sustainability functions. I was fortunate to lead a team of world-class professionals in 17 countries. My Disney experience—such as shared oversight of Parks Merchandise and leading marketing & sales at Disneyland Paris—gave me a deep understanding of the importance of brand. Under my leadership, we developed and executed a successful supply chain strategy balancing profitable growth, customer satisfaction and brand protection. I am a frequent speaker on the important role of supply chains in driving shareholder value through effective reputation management. My career has always been international, beginning as an international affairs analyst at RAND, advising the US government on geopolitical strategy. I spent 11 years at EuroDisney, starting as a transportation manager and finishing as head of Marketing & Sales. After returning to the US, I leveraged my experience to build out Disney’s international supply chain operations, particularly in Asia. This combination of strategic vision, cultural and geopolitical knowledge, and practical operational experience has provided unique insights, allowing me to successfully manage extended global supply chain operations. Professionally, my greatest pleasure has been to create great teams around the globe; to find, develop and inspire world-class talent; and provide them the support they need to excel. I love to help young professionals grow, speaking frequently at conferences and universities, and serving on advisory boards for various educational institutions.
