Rachel's practice focuses on policing, defending, and enforcing intellectual property rights in the United States and abroad. Her practice includes intellectual property litigation, domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement, copyright registration and enforcement, and domain name disputes. Rachel manages extensive trademark and domain name portfolios for clients such as the Wikimedia Foundation and Educational Testing Service, and regularly counsels clients on the use and enforcement of intellectual property rights on the Internet. She also advises clients on domain name enforcement strategies, and has successfully represented clients in a number of UDRP proceedings. Rachel's practice also extends to transactions involving the transfer, use, and sharing of intellectual property, including licenses, assignments, terms of use, and sponsorship agreements. She frequently performs and evaluates due diligence for commercial transactions relating to the acquisition, licensing, or transfer of intellectual property, and has advised clients on a variety of cybersecurity and data privacy matters, including risk assessment and management and PCI DSS compliance. Rachel maintains an active pro bono practice and represents nonprofit organizations on a variety of intellectual property matters, including international trademark and copyright law, Internet and social media issues, and intellectual property protection and enforcement strategies.
