I began my career path in respiratory therapy in 1981 while married and raising 3 children. I was determined to continue growth in the healthcare industry, seeking opportunities that would allow me to raise my children and work. I was "thrown" into management positions during the early years of my employment. Not only did I learn the skills required to be a respiratory therapist, but also the management-related skills. I found interest in creating policies and procedures, and sharing respiratory knowledge by teaching respiratory students who were enrolled in distant learning education.
