Passionate about developing people and growing businessesBusiness leader with diverse experience ranging from route development, government policies to retail F&B and sales in aviation and media industryJames currently heads the teams in Changi Airport Group (CAG) responsible for operations, leasing, marketing and promotional activities of its public area shop space. In this recently assumed role, James aims to enhance CAG’s position as an iconic mall in Singapore and as the world’s most awarded airport.Before this, James led CAG’s Cargo & Logistics Development (CLD) division, responsible for strengthening Singapore’s position as a leading air cargo hub. Under his charge, CLD developed excellent relationships with the regional air freight community. James was also instrumental in securing the expansion of DHL Express’ South Asia Hub, one of its largest investments in Asia.He was also the Alternate Chairman of the Changi East Industrial Zone (CEIZ) Master Planning Committee (from 2014-2015), tasked by the government to develop the master plan of a 120ha industrial zone as part of the airport’s expansion plans. From 2006 to 2011, James was in CAG’s Airline Development Division (AD), responsible for route development and working with airlines to enhance CAG's connectivity to its key markets. His key success during this time was growing its key account, Jetstar Group, which doubled its operations in Singapore.James began his career as a civil engineer at a major Singapore-based engineering contractor before moving onto sales and business development in the media industry.James is passionate about football and supports Manchester United. He intends to ride his motorcycle across Southeast Asia in support of charitable causes.
