Technology has made our world so much more connected. It’s made our life easier. But we’ve also become way busier. As a Financial Consultant, it’s my job to help you sieve through the myriad of information out there, making sense of all the jargon and regulation, and navigate investment tools and strategies so that you own your holistic financial plan. I strongly believe a financial plan isn’t just about material wealth accumulation, but also adequate protection, which I myself often skimped on in the past. However, when, as a Pharmacy student, I saw how families did everything they could to nurse their loved ones back to health, leaving their own financial health in ruins, as well as the devastating consequences it had on the family, I’m a firm believer now. And when it comes to wealth accumulation, whether it’s short-term goals like vacations or housing, or long-term goals like retirement, I believe you should know what’s going on with your financial strategy, or at least have it at your fingertips. Rather than ‘yes, I’m saving, though I’m not sure what exactly’, I advocate the evidence-based practice of financial planning, with real data figures rather than vague assumptions. That’s why I’m excited to partner with some pretty innovative technology providers to make this whole financial planning thing a lot easier. Although still in their infancy, they’ve got neat technology that allows my clients to get a birds’ eye view of their financial portfolio and plan at all times, so they truly have control of their financial plans.
