I have been fortunate to work in high end fashion for 14 years and gained valuable experience, not only as a designer but also as the manager of a growing team. Working within a relatively small design team I had the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of design, including RTW, bridal, knitwear, accessories and made to order projects. In my current position as director of design it is vital that I can convey my message clearly and can inspire and evoke passion within all members of the team in order to achieve the desired results. Besides creating editorially strong collections during NY fashion week, the team and I have never neglected to designing an equally strong commercial collection that blends in seamlessly with the runway pieces. Together with the merchandising team we develop a collection plan that encompasses all aspect of the collection. Throughout my history at Carolina Herrera it has become quite evident that being a team payer, a diplomatic leader and an organized way of working contribute to a pleasant and healthy work environment and better productivity.
