Emma earned a BA in Communication from Virginia Tech and quickly established a record of success at some of the largest and most respected health care brands in the world. Beginning her career in New York City with Chamberlain Healthcare Public Relations, she helped promote advancements in Pfizer’s lung and kidney cancer treatment portfolio. She has since coordinated and managed internal and external communications for a global law firm and continued to served clients in the pharmaceutical, health care and consumer industries while working in public relations in and around the Richmond area. As a Director of PR & Communications at Bon Secours Mercy Health, Emma works to align strategic internal and external communications to engage regional audiences in the Bon Secours Mercy Health brand and to strategically position the ministry as a thought leader and innovator. A strong communications professional who demonstrates sound business judgment, works closely with senior leaders and executives in various parts of the ministry to help drive effective communication initiatives. A master at preserving the core of a company’s mission while infusing it with fresh ideas, what gets her up in the morning is the same thing that keeps her up at night: handcrafting ideas that move the bottom line, both for the organization and for the greater good.
