I take pride in finding elegant solutions for complex technical problems. In equal measure, it gives me great satisfaction to see tangible business benefits from solutions I designed and implemented. Throughout my career I have always been ‘hands on’ and I still enjoy programming and being actively involved in the realisation phase. I spend a large part of my free time getting to know the latest developments in the BI Industry. My projects tend to be £50k-£300k. Whilst delivery is still an important part of my role, I am now tending to lead key client accounts for Bluefin Solutions. I am passionate about the work of NGO’s and public sector organisations and I find it rewarding to contribute to a better world for the people who need it most. From that perspective my work for the Dutch Foreign Office and International Development and for Oxfam have been highlights in my career. My specialist areas in BI includes data integration and data modelling. Traditionally those areas involve technologies like SAP Data Services and SAP Business Warehouse. I have over ten years of experience with those specific technologies and have the professional qualifications (SAP Certifications) for both products. In recent times, the world of BI has been turned upside down thanks to technological improvements, specifically SAP HANA and SAP Cloud solutions. I help organisations to understand these new technologies and utilise these correctly so these organisations become more agile and allow them to run business processes in a radically different way.
