Manage and coordinate activities of Strategic Sourcing Managers engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, CAPEX, machinery, electronics, CPG and packaging supplies within the manufacturing and distribution organizations. Carry out instructions regarding purchasing policies and procedures and direct purchasing programs accordingly. Strategically develop procedures and sourcing initiatives to procure a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and evaluate market analysis reports. Provide awareness for economic, industrial and other trends that affect markets, prices, and delivery conditions. Recommends major purchases of materials on the basis of anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations. Lead contract negotiations, vendor selection, develop risk mitigation strategies and overall supplier management for key suppliers. Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments. Acts as a liaison in dealings between suppliers and user departments.
