I’m responsible for the delivery of global infrastructure and software solutions to Berkadia’s employees (1,600 in total), across 70 office locations in the US and Hyderabad, India... I'm responsible for executing the company’s short and long term technology strategies. I’m supported by a talented and dedicated group of professionals, 65 located in the US and 50 located in Hyderabad, India. Each of these professionals manage their respective domains that roll up into my overall responsibility, including: • Production Operations, including Network Operations, Telecommunications, Security Operations, high availability data centers, desktop and helpdesk support, Unified Communications, and BYOD • Project Management Office including Business Analysis, Project Management, and Quality Assurance functions • Agile Solutions Development in .NET, SharePoint 2010, SalesForce, PeopleSoft Finance / HRMS, and DBA development & support in all active versions of MSSQL • General IT controls and audit compliance practices to satisfy the control requirements of life insurance companies, GSE’s, and FDIC regulated US Banks • Global Information Security standards, controls, policies, procedures, and 3rd party attestation activities I’m a proponent for transparent financial management of the company’s technology spend. I know how to recognize value, recognize waste, and know when to outsource / insource / offshore / inshore technology services and systems. I’m an advocate for emerging technology, in particular mobility, BYOD, Unified Communications, Cloud SaaS / PaaS, and Master Data Management. I motivate my team to deliver their best, to continuously question the way we do things, to embrace change, to be accountable to each other, and to value the opportunities we are given.
