Beca delivers a variety of consultancy services across the Buildings, Government, Industrial, Power, Transport and Water market segments. We operate from three main "hubs" - Australia, New Zealand and Asia - offering everything from engineering, architecture and planning services, to project and cost management, software technology and valuation services. Beca consults to infrastructure providers including NZ Transport Agency, Auckland Airport, Melbourne Airport and Melbourne Water. In Australia, China and New Zealand, Beca has been assisting major manufacturers of food and beverage products, building breweries and food processing plants for over 20 years. Beca has been working with power and industrial clients in NZ on energy generation and transmission, delivering alternative energy sources such as wind farms, hydro dams and transmission stations. Having helped deliver a number of prominent buildings such as the Sky Tower in Auckland and Macau Tower in China, Beca Buildings is now working on large-scale projects that contribute to the development and use of Environmentally Sustainable Designs. An example of this is Singapore's Zero Energy Building, which aims to generate as much energy from renewable sources as it uses, leading to net zero energy consumption. As well as landmark projects, Beca has an established track record in education, hospitals and correction facilities. Beca consults on systems engineering, business solutions, IT project management and software services, and has developed a number of software and simulation products. This capability has earned Beca commissions across a number of markets including transportation, ports, defence and water.

I am an Executive with a diverse consulting and leadership background, having migrated through a range of roles and career paths from chemical engineering and academic research, to engineering consulting, ICT management and software engineering, project leadership, new business incubation, management consulting, business strategy, and executive leadership and corporate governance, amongst others. My main driver is the satisfaction that comes from solving complex problems and making things better as a result. I thrive on being told something is not possible, and working with teams of people to facilitate understanding, to define a way forward, and to collectively come up with solutions that work. Through this I’ve developed expertise in an eclectic mix of technical and business subjects, and enjoy applying this to futurism, thinking about what is happening in our industry and how to position in response. I have had the privilege of working in many client organisations around the world, gaining an appreciation of retail, pharmatech, utilities, infrastructure, defence, food and beverage, pulp and paper, mining and metals, airports, and manufacturing, amongst others, both in the public and private sectors. Through this I have gained experience at starting up and growing businesses, and in working on complex multi-national businesses. It has taught me how to understand and engage with all aspects of business, including HR, ICT, legal, risk, finance and commercial, sales and marketing, corporate services, strategy, and corporate governance. With a passion for innovation and excellence, I set high standards for myself, and for the people who work with me. I enjoy developing people and seeing them flourish, and have had the joy of working with many talented people from all sorts of different professional backgrounds. I have certainly learnt that the most creative results almost always come from the collaborative efforts of a team, and the most fun!
