I’m the President & Chief Executive Officer at BC Hydro. Having worked throughout the company and across the province for over 30 years, I appreciate the importance of our mandate to safely provide reliable, affordable, clean electricity throughout B.C. We’re seeing the effects of climate change in our daily lives from increased heat and wildfires, to more frequent floods and storms. Our call to action is clear: we need to drive down greenhouse gas emissions by dramatically reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. With over 4 million people who rely on our services, BC Hydro has a tremendous opportunity to make a positive impact by helping our customers—both current and future—make the switch to clean energy powered by water.
