Experienced business investor-operator who helps promising companies scale and grow. I apply an investor’s lens to identify and work with companies that are solving interesting problems. My value-add is as a collaborative, strategic business partner and early stage company force-multiplier who has successfully accelerated growth by applying “systems thinking”. I leverage my combined experiences at innovative start-ups and traditional financial services with my background in operational and strategic finance, investing, start-up business operations advisory, fundraising, and investment banking for great outcomes. _____________________________________________________________________________ I am an intellectually curious, collaborative, and high impact oriented strategic finance & business leader who takes a "go slow to go fast" approach in developing durable solutions to all sorts of problems. I enjoy challenges that offer learning opportunities and prefer problem solving over processing a list of tasks (but understand that tactical work is a critical component to every work product). My "learning by doing" operating finance and leadership skills acquired from being the 1st finance hire at Aurora (autonomous vehicle technology) pairs nicely with the investment banking, late stage private equity investing, and product development experiences from JP Morgan, GE Capital, and Primus Asset Management. As a result of these diverse experiences, I have a strong appreciation for the importance of understanding the cross functional aspects of a business and the challenges of scaling a company building a greenfield business - it has made made me a better leader, investor, and mentor/advisor. Currently working with a promising team on a solution for positive climate impact - starting with decarbonizing cement.
