Established nearly 40 years ago, AGA has grown from two physicians to more than 70 and from one office in Atlanta to 38 locations throughout the metropolitan area and North Georgia. In addition, the practice operates nine state-of-the-art endoscopy centers where most outpatient gastrointestinal procedures are performed. For patients who may require hospitalization, our physicians have privileges at most Atlanta-area hospitals. Ive been a Registered Nurse since 1985. I worked at Henry Medical Center (now Piedmont Henry Hospital) from 1985-2003. My areas of Expertise were OB/GYN for 11 years and Ambulatory Care Unit for 7 years, the last 2 years as Clinical Coordinator of the Ambulatory Unit. This unit included Pre & Posting of OP Surgeries, administration of blood and chemotherapy, IV sedation of Radiology procedures, and Endoscopy Procedures. I left this job after an opportunity was presented by Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates as Clinical Manager of Stockbridge, Fayetteville, and the Blairsville Offices. This position includes Management of Office Staff and Physicians assigned to this Pod of Offices. Other responsibilities are Time Management, Budget Management, EMR Implementation and Attesting in Office Setting, Marketing, OSHA Audits, Clinical Assistance in Clinical Processes, and Billing.
