Emma is a Partner specialising in international commercial arbitration and investment treaty disputes. Emma was listed as a 'Next Generation Partner' in Legal 500 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 and as a 'Rising Star' in the Legal 500 International Arbitration Power List. Emma has experience of both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations, including under the ICSID Convention. She conducts advocacy. She has also acted in public international law proceedings before the International Court of Justice. Emma has particular experience of energy sector disputes, including gas and LNG price reopeners, supply disputes and disputes in the solar, wind and biomass sectors. She also has experience of construction and telecommunications arbitration. A significant number of Emma's previous cases have involved civil law (and in particular Scandinavian governing laws, institutional rules and seats) and she has significant experience of arbitrations relating to African projects.
