I have recently completed my first year at Ariat International. The time has been challenging, rewarding and very enjoyable. It's a dynamic and critical time for the Ariat brand. Overall business growth, new category expansion and the continuing formation of a high performing cross functional team. I am looking forward to another year filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth that can be celebrated with equal amounts of business success! I've held similar roles with premier global brands like Levi Strauss, Quiksilver & & Roxy, Oakley and Gymboree. My practical experience extends across all apparel categories including knits & wovens, tops & bottoms for men, women’s & children. My teams have sourced and developed product for surf, skate, bike, motor sports & traditional sportswear. I have traveled to and sourced in over 30 countries across the Western Hemisphere, North & South Asia, the Middle East and parts of Europe & Africa.I've lead teams in apparel start-ups (Oakley/Gymboree), mature/turnaround situations (Quiksilver/Roxy, Levi’s) as well as in a boutique/entrepreneurial environment (McLaren). My procurement experience includes working direct to supplier (Oakley/ McLaren), through company overseas offices (Levi’s/ Quiksilver/Mervyn’s) and through buying offices (Li & Fung, Sesby) My expertise includes change management, leadership/coaching, sourcing strategy/vendor relationships, go to market & general process improvement, team building and cross functional relationship optimization. I received my BA from California State University at Fullerton and an MBA from Chapman University. I received the Deans Award for Outstanding MBA student and am a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s.I have learned from every company, role, team that I have worked with throughout my career. I am appreciative of the opportunities and experiences the apparel fashion industry has provided for me......and it's not over yet!
