Manny Avramidis is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for American Management Association. Mr. Avramidis’ responsibilities include strategic leadership and direction of AMA’s Global Human Resources function consistent with AMA’s values and business goals. In this capacity, Mr. Avramidis leads the development and implementation of policies and programs encompassing all aspects of human resources which include employee relations, talent acquisition and development, executive/employee compensation, benefits, policy and organizational development, leadership development/succession planning and technologies. Under his leadership, HR has transformed into a trusted advisor and strategic business partner. AMA has also achieved a high level of employee engagement and alignment with the institution’s business goals. Mr. Avramidis is an active member of various Boards. He is also part of AMA’s senior executive team where he serves as a strategic advisor to both the CEO and Board. Prior to becoming SVP and CHRO, Mr. Avramidis was Vice President of U.S. HR and an HR Consultant for AMA’s Global HR Practice. His responsibilities included developing and maintaining a multimillion-dollar best practice learning solutions portfolio that met global industry demands. Mr. Avramidis holds a B.A. degree from William Paterson University, where he was a member of both The National and International Honor Societies. He also successfully completed a 240 hour AMA management development program. He has been quoted in newspapers and journals such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and HR Executive. He has also been called upon to offer expert advice on leading televised business news programs.
