Cynthia Hundorfean is president and CEO of Allegheny Health Network, a Pittsburgh-based health care system that includes eight hospitals: flagship academic medical center Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh’s North Side, Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Canonsburg Hospital in Canonsburg, Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood, and Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, N.Y. Among its more than 250 clinical locations are four health and wellness pavilions and more than 50 cancer care clinics. AHN employs more than 18,000 people and has 2,800 physicians on its medical staff. AHN is an affiliate of Highmark Health, a national health and wellness enterprise also based in Pittsburgh. Ms. Hundorfean joined Allegheny Health Network in 2016. She is active in her community and within the health care industry, serving on the board of directors of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania as well as the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania. She received her Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University, and Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Robert Meyers College. She is a member of the American Hospital Association and Medical Group Management Association.
