Dr. Schulte is Group Manufacturing & Technology Director at Aggreko plc and a member of Aggreko's Executive Committee. Aggreko is the world largest provider of mobile power generation with over 6000 employes and sales of 2.5bn$. He is responsible for Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management as well as fleet product CAPEX decisions. Dr. Schulte spent seven years at General Electric as a Senior Executive leading GEs reciprocating (gas & diesel) engine engineering organization as General Manager. While at GE he developed a scalable engineering organizations in a global multi-site and multi-pole (US, Europe, India) setting with 500+ engineers. He also developed significant experience with scaling businesses through organic product development and inorganic growth. He developed strong expertise in the Energy and Power Generation industry. Recently Dr. Schulte was COO at LightSail Energy, a VC backed Start-up into Energy Storage. Main investors were Khosla Ventures, Bill Gates, Peter Thiel and Total. Dr. Schulte has a masters degree in aeronautical engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. He has a total of eleven years of experience in aircraft engine and gas turbine related technology and engineering management working for Rolls-Royce plc and MTU Aero Engines. He has three years of engineering management experience in the Oil & Gas industry while he was working at MAN Turbo in Germany.
