As the Global Head of Analytics, Tom leads the strategic quantitative vision for the Group's clients. He brings a vast array of technology solutions and experience to the table to guide his teams in bringing the most advanced solutions in the industry.Joining Alius from PwC's Financial Services (Anti-Money Laundering) space, Tom functioned as a subject matter expert (SME) developing risk models in SAS, optimizing transaction monitoring systems, scenario testing, and model validation efforts. Tom guided large teams of analytics professionals across numerous clients in their end-to-end optimization from testing to implementation. Tom lead teams delivering quality to regulators, monitors, and executive internal stakeholders. Working in the pharmaceutical space, Tom designed and implemented a variety of risk monitoring dashboards developed in Spotfire.Having joined PwC from another Big 4 firm, Tom enjoyed the experience of working in both their federal and commercial practices. On the federal side, Tom specialized in audit risk and compliance analytics assisting a large Department of Homeland Security component in their audit readiness and remediation efforts. There he lead a group in the design and implementation of a vast array of analytic automation projects from general ledger validation and Department of Treasury reporting to the creation of a risk monitoring heat-map for the agency’s core accounting system. On the commercial side, Tom joined the national security pricing center (NSPC) to work in derivative valuation for numerous audit clients as well as assist in liquidation efforts for a large investment banking client.
