Yum Brands, Inc. is an American fast food corporation that supplies various brands of food and related services.
About 4 years ago, the small strategic marketing consultancy I co-founded was acquired by Yum! brands (the parent company of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC), and has since become a bit less small. These days, I'm deeply honored to work with about 30 highly skilled and crazy cool strategists, cultural trend experts, social scientists and data scientists in our own campus--a loft in downtown Santa Ana, California. As strategists at Collider, we have the best of both worlds: being an intrinsic part of an extremely forward thinking multinational corporation and at the same time having the independence and freedom to work with a few other select brands, universities, professors and thought leaders around the world. As Chief Marketing Officer at Yum!, I spend quite a bit of time working in dozens of markets around the globe, helping our very talented local teams and franchisees supercharge their efforts with a holistic marketing approach we've dubbed R.E.D.. So far, it has s unlocked growth in several countries and helped crack problems that have been vexing us for a long time. Prior to this role at Yum!/Collider, I was very fortunate to lead strategy at a couple of Ad Agencies, and was a creative director at a couple of others.
