I attended Paragon Culinary School, a vocational college, and graduated with honors in 2011. While attending Paragon Culinary School I excelled in classes involving World Cuisines, Restaurant Management, and Pastry. My attendance at Paragon allowed me to volunteer at VIP catered events for Venetucci farms. A few years after my graduation from Paragon Culinary School decided to continue my education and begin studying business. I have completed classes in Accounting, Economics, and Business Statistics. I will graduate with my Associates of Arts degree in Business this August 2016. I am learning from my schooling how cooking excellent food is only a small part of keeping a business afloat. My varied work experience includes baking, short order grill cook, and catering. Experience such as this has allowed me to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations. For the past 3 years I have experience specialized in catering large events and VIP events. Due to my employment with Bon Appetit and working under Executive Chef Edmund Clark I have a greater understanding of five-star cuisine, food cost, teamwork, and time management. As a part of the Bon Appetit at Colorado College catering team I am frequently called on to complete entire orders for events individually and to manage groups of assigned employees to complete orders. I regularly attend safety meetings and provide support to the management staff as an experienced employee. I often undertake the training of new employees in safety, job duties, quality, and equipment usage.
