Rip Gerber has 25 years’ experience inspiring and leading great people to build disruptive, market-leading companies, raising over $500M in venture and IPO funds that have delivered a collective 5x return on invested capital. Gerber has driven a dual agenda of ‘pragmatic creativity’ and ‘warp-speed innovation’ in the enterprise software, mobile, and Software-as-a-Service industries, where he has served in CEO, GM, Board Director and CMO roles for several venture-backed and seed-to-IPO companies.Gerber currently serves as the Chief Marketing and Alliance Officer of Vlocity, Inc. where he leads all go-to-market activities, brand strategy, and global business development. Gerber has helped propel Vlocity as the fastest-growing Salesforce partner (out of 3,700) for two years in a row. Gerber also oversees Vlocity’s partner ecosystem and serves as Executive Sponsor of Vlocity’s APAC region.Prior to Vlocity, Gerber served as President and CEO of Locaid Technologies for five years, where he conceived of “Location-as-a-Service” (LaaS) and built the world’s largest location API cloud platform. Previously, Rip served at Nokia as CMO and GM of Intellisync (NASDAQ: SYNC). Gerber is recognized for repositioning the company and gaining “upper right” status on the Gartner MQ. Gerber also helped orchestrate the company’s acquisition by Nokia, delivering an 8x shareholder return in just two years.Gerber was previously CMO and CSO of Commtouch (NASDAQ: CTCH), an Internet infrastructure company that he took public in 1999. Earlier in his career, he founded @once, an email marketing company (acquired by InfoUSA), and was a strategy consultant for Deloitte Consulting. He started his career at the Central Intelligence Agency, Firestone and American Express. Gerber holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He currently serves on the board of Aratana Therapeutics (NASDAQ: PETX).
