Bio

My career in software sales started in 2018 at YC-backed Vidyard. I joined as a BDR and then after a couple of years of hard work, I got the opportunity to lead a team of 20 AEs and 3 sales managers as the department head of SMB sales. After 4 years at Vidyard, I decided to join venture-backed HyperComply as their Head of Sales. Through these experiences, I always felt a ton of pressure to get my team to perform. However, I never had enough time in my day to help every person on my team reach their potential. It didn't matter if I was managing 8 people or 20 people, I could only ever be on one call at a time. This created an environment where sales reps didn't get enough support and as a result, they were making critical mistakes during calls, costing the business revenue. Referencing notes and call recordings were always the things I relied on since I didn't have time to be on enough live calls with my team. However, my coaching became completely reactive as all of the mistakes I was identifying through those methods had already happened. To not spend my days doing damage control, I decided to quit my Head of Sales role and build a real-time sales assistant that would allow sales leaders to ensure that every sales rep is set up for success. On every call, each sales rep can be reminded about the parts of the playbook they are missing and how to answer specific objections & product questions that come up. Further to that, rather than getting a transcription after a call, notes can be taken in real-time allowing reps to easily reference back to key points made earlier in the call. It's been incredible to see this vision come to life and the impact that we're already having on sales teams. We've been able to give back sales leaders' time while helping them improve key sales metrics like win rate, average contract value, and time to close.
