As Senior Director of Attorney Recruitment, Gretchen Rollins oversees all aspects of the Summer Associate Program, on-campus recruitment, and lateral recruitment for Vinson & Elkins. Gretchen works directly with Firm and Office Hiring Partners, Practice Group Leaders, and law school interview teams to determine hiring needs, develop strategies, produce recruiting materials, provide best practices and other recommendations, and prepare analysis and reports on recruiting outcomes. Gretchen joined Vinson & Elkins in 2004 as the Dallas Attorney Employment Manager. Prior to joining V&E, she served as the Assistant Director of Career Services at SMU Dedman School of Law. At SMU, Gretchen managed and coordinated on-campus interviews for 500 law students and 100 employers, coordinated all job fairs for law students and served as a board member for two minority job fairs, and conducted legal career seminars/workshops, and provided career counseling to law students. Gretchen received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1996, where she served as a Recruiter for the College of Engineering. She has been a member of NALP, the Association for Legal Career Professionals, and the Recruiting Administrators of Dallas (RADS) since entering the legal recruiting profession in 2000. She served as a NALP Regional Representative for the Southeast Region and is currently a member of the NALP Directory of Law Schools & NALP Directory of Legal Employers Advisory Board.
