Grace began her career at Spa Koru as Fitness Director in October of 2007. She became Assistant Spa Director in February 2008, and began working toward establishing Spa Koru as one of the premier Spa vacation destinations on the East Coast. In July of 2008 Grace assumed the Director position at Spa Koru and, over the next several years, supervised a remarkable evolution. What began as a Day Spa and Fitness Center has since become one of the East Coast's premier Wellness Resorts. Spa Koru - now known as Koru Village - boasts a wide range of amenities including Spa, Salon, ocean front Beach Klub, Fitness, Yoga, Villas, Adventure Sports and Weddings. Grace's vision, commitment to the customer experience and managerial abilities developed and thrived at Koru and set the tone for her career in tourism hospitality. In the Fall of 2012 Grace decided to pursue a new career path within the tourism industry and sought a position in Property Management with Hatteras Realty. She is thrilled to carry her experience and skills developed at Koru over to her new role at Hatteras Realty. Grace still works closely with the staff at Koru Village as well as several other Hatteras Island businesses to develop and market Hatteras Island within the vacation industry. Her focus at Hatteras Realty is in Guest/Owner Relations in addition to Property Management. Her continued emphasis on the guest experience on Hatteras Island drives her work and motivates her civic pursuits. Grace volunteers on several community and civic committees; most recently serving as Chair of the Community Affairs Committee of the Hatteras/Ocracoke Council - Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce. A constant presence at local events and functions, Grace believes that being active in the community and donating time and ideas is integral to facilitating positive change around us.
